Corona Virus Update

We are currently open to all children. We are following government guidelines and our policies and procedures. All staff are testing for Covid-19 twice a week.

Please read the attached risk assessment for further information, but we would like to draw your attention to the most important points:

  • If your child or anyone in your household shows ANY signs of COVID-19 or have tested positive in the last 7 days you must keep your child at home and inform Playgroup. The symptoms to look out for are High temperature, new persistent cough or a change or loss in taste or smell (in small children this may look like refusing to eat or saying food they usually like tastes funny or different). This also applies to all staff members and their families.

  • If your child is ill with any different symptoms please consider carefully if you feel it is safe to send them to Playgroup. The health and safety of our staff and children are so important to us and as we operate on small staff numbers any illness from staff could result in Playgroup having to close temporarily due to ratio restrictions.

  • Please remember it has always been in our policy that if your child has to have Calpol (or any other brand of children’s pain medication) they should not be sent to Playgroup. Vomiting and diarrhoea require you to keep your child at home for 48 hours after the last bout of vomiting or diarrhoea. Also, if your child is prescribed antibiotics, they should stay home for the first 48 hours and only return if well enough to do so.

About Us

Our playgroup has been running for over 40 years. We are a registered charity and voluntary organisation, run by a committee formed from the parents and guardians of the children attending and, occasionally, interested friends.

Our staff are kind, friendly and experienced and care deeply about being the best they can be for all the children who walk through the doors of FELTWELL PLAYGROUP.

We offer both 2 year old and 3/4 year old government funded sessions. Our fees are kept as low as possible to ensure that all families with 2 - 5 year-old children can access some sort of childcare no matter what your financial situation.
